The
History of Cerberus Creations
Greg McDougall got his professional start in the mid 90's,
working out of a basement-turned- FX lab in northeast Ohio.
While not a film making hotspot,
Ohio offered enough opportunities for Greg to hone his craft.
Greg worked on
a variety of local commercials, theatrical productions, and
amusement park
stunt shows.
In 1998, Greg was hired to provide special effects for the
independent
science fiction film, Clone. His deep involvement with
production led to
Greg taking on the responsibility of Production Designer as
well.
During pre-production, Greg sought local artists to help with
the massive
work load. Cari Finken quickly joined the team. Together, the
two artists
worked tirelessly to create a number of makeup effects, props,
set pieces,
and pyrotechnics.
After this successful collaboration, Greg and Cari worked
together on a
number of independent projects before eventually moving to Los
Angeles in
2003. While working for other effects shops, Greg and Cari
gained valuable
experience on films such as War of the Worlds, Charlotte's Web,
The
Chronicles of Narnia, Seed of Chucky, and Disney's Eight Below.
In the spring of 2005, Greg was asked to create the makeup
effects for
Creepshow 3. Greg and Cari officially formed Cerberus Creations.
Based in
Burbank, the new company created an impressive array of makeup
effects on a
small budget and tight schedule.
Since its inception, Cerberus Creations continues to build its
reputation in
the industry by offering high quality effects, unique artistic
designs, and
an enthusiastic attitude for every project. |
